In 2025, The Los Alamos Faith and Science Forum invites you to our summer of celebration by continuing to examine issues at the interface of faith and science.  Our twelfth season will run from June 17th to August 5th.

This forum brings together scientists, theologians, and philosophers to explore the profound questions at the heart of human existence: How did life begin? What makes us human? And what responsibilities come with our knowledge and power? Presentations will examine the mystery of life’s origins, the uniqueness of Earth, and the genetic journey of Homo sapiens. Speakers will also delve into the tension between free will and determinism, and the shared spiritual insights across faith traditions. As artificial intelligence and biotechnology challenge our ethical boundaries, we ask not only what science can achieve, but what it should strive to become. Together, these talks invite a deeper conversation at the intersection of science, faith, and the human future.

A light dinner will be provided at 6 pm for all forums. The presentations will start at 6:30 pm and be followed by a question and answer session and table discussions. The location is the Unitarian Church, 1738 N Sage Loop St, Los Alamos, NM.
